The Rialto Center for the Arts had this really cool dance group called David Dorfman Dance this past March, which did a piece called undergound in reflection of those tumultous times in the late 1960s and examining how our current generation reacts to the cultural issues of our time. On their website you can read David Dorfman's thoughts about the events of the late 60s. Watching one of the outreach programs they did with a couple of inner city high schools here in Atlanta was incredible. The dancers ask if you will stand up for what you believe and some of the students were so moved they actually stood up during the performance. It asked if killing 1 life to save another life was ok? Then they asked if killing 50 people to save 100 was ok, and so on an so on. They asked you to think about how you want to effect change in your world. It was beautiful.

Corey,
Keep them coming and I'll keep linking to them. I really appreciate the work and can't wait to see what is to come. Most artistic expression from Christians belongs in children's Sunday School. It's exciting to see something thoughtful and thought provoking.

Jon, thanks for the link to the art. I am very excited about this project and seeing how God will use it. We have 2 more passages being worked on now, hopefully next week we will have more to show.

"Would McEwan’s fears fade away when we put 2nd temple apocalyptic literature in the right context and start to responsibly unpack the significance of the images involved? Maybe so…?"

How would that look?...i'm showing my ignorance, but then of course I'm pretty good at that as you know...not much has changed from study halls in 1998-I'm taking it you're not dispensational :)

You're making me wish I lived in Atlanta. I think I have a 10% greater likelihood of trusting someone theologically if they have a healthy appreciation for beer.
